This game is pretty darn good, I immensely enjoyed it. It is your average extreme sports game, except you don't, for the most part, know who everyone is. It isn't over hyped like some of the later THPS games, nor do you have to worry about them just trying to fill the game with idiotic nonsense just to get people to go out and buy the game.
It is pretty average with how you unlock levels, I didn't see anything that was mind blowing. The controls take a few minutes to figure out, but once you do it makes the game pretty easy. I did like how you are constantly holding onto a rope tied to a boat, just like in real life. It helps change the way you move, and the physics of it makes the game enjoyable also forces you to change the way you would play it to get new areas.
The music is huge, a wide array of different musical tracks, though if you have any CD's downloaded to your hard drive, then you will most likely just listen to those. Yet I do have to stress that this is one of the few games that does utilize the CD function very well, and does not cut the songs half way through them just because you have finished your run.
All in all the game is better then average, quite better then average. It is a good break from the current THPS and SSX games that are out on the market. I would not recommend this game over THPS 4, or SSX Tricky, but if you have played through those games many different times. Then it defiantly is a step up from THUG 1 or 2, and SSX Out on Tour.
