A very good game that could have been truly great.

GOOD:
The controls are tighter. It doesn't feel floaty or imprecise.
Match selection is pretty good.
The roster is the most up to date and sizable it's been in years.
CAS/CAW is capable of producing characters that look like they belong next to existing superstar models.
Load times have been greatly reduced all around.
Custom titan-trons look awesome during entrances and are easy and fun to edit.
Story Designer is easy to use, actually works, and is flexible enough that as long as you can think of good dialogue, you will literally never run out of story content with this game.
Four alternate CAW attires.
TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT:
The included RTWM stories range from decent to pretty good in my opinion, and are fun enough to play through.
There is a season mode present, but it lacks a story entirely and consists of an effort to earn title shots.
BAD:
You cannot edit the appearance, movesets, or entrances (no custom music) of CAWs/CASs that you download (those you make you can.)
Online lag is horrible, even in two player matches. It takes the form of a one or two second delay between entering commands and their execution.
Load times online are still atrocious.
You can only have a CAW appear 10 times in a created story which makes for EXTREMELY short CAW oriented plots.
The filter used to censor words for uploaded stories is incredibly picky.
There are still FAR too few submission holds that can actually result in a SUBMISSION. Moves included that cannot result in a tap out include the Regal Stretch and the Ankle Lock, among others.
Ladder moves are totally inaccurate (you often fly in a direction totally away from your opponent.)
Targeting is unresponsive.
The new CAW clothing point limit is too restrictive.
CONCLUSION:
Overall, what you get is a wonderful experience. The failings that ARE present, however, are INCREDIBLY frustrating & disappointing. I wish I could give it a 7.9, but it doesn't earn an 8 from me personally. So very close.
