You know the smackdown vs. raw games have fallen in standards the last few years. But I wouldn't count this game as a fighting game just yet. Now we all know games for DS and PSP are never as good as the consol version. However this is one of the best DS games I've ever played. You can create a superstar from scratch by customizing every inch of his body and costume, literaly I mean Every Inch! Story mode allows you to live the life of a WWE superstar by you going to the gym or locker room whenever you freakin please. You travel the WWE world at your own pace and train however you want. The point of story mode is to earn respect and destroy anyone who gets in your way.
Do you hate having to always have your character say things you yourself wouldn't really say? Well this game has you speak for yourself! You choose your superstars comments and diologe. This reasults in making you choose your words carefuly as to not to anger anyone, but if want to be a jerk or a hero it's your call.
I would play this game over and over again each time differently. I highly recomend buying this game.
I bought this and it was so awsome. This is my favirote ds game in the world! This is the only ds game i play! You make your own character and play it in story mode. You meet superstars and divas. The matches are 1-1,last man standing, ladder, steel cage, tables, extreme rules, ambulance, and back stage brawl. I would difenly recomend this to a friend!!
The wrestling itself is fine in this game, but the single player mode tries to simulate a wrestling career by forcing the player to workout at the gym between episodes of whichever brand (ECW, Smackdown, or Raw) the player's character works for. You do this in order to build up the wrestler's stats. It's not bad the first couple times, but the workouts consist of choosing one of 4 minigames that hone a certain skill; and it takes a long time to reach the next level for that skill. In other words, if you want to build up your speed, you have to do a jump rope minigame many, many times. Not only that, but you can only do one minigame per day. Then you have your character go to sleep, progress to the next day, and do it all over again.
This system of levelling up really put a damper on the whole experience for me...I put a total of about 5 hours into the story, then I just simply didn't feel like finishing the game.
I have yet to try one of the console wrestling games, but I would hope they're more exciting than this!
Over the years i think that svr has fallen off svr 2008 was the worst in my opinion. then svr 2009 got a little bit better. Now svr 2010 is out and is the funnest! i thought tht it would not be fun because some ds games arent but svr really came back and created an awesome game!
