I gave SvR 07 a 9. SvR 07's graphics were top notch, and the PPV was fun to create. Now on the other hand, this game, has even better graphics, ability to use your own music off of your hard drive(360), and ECW! The story mode is called 24/7 Mode, and I think THQ was trying to make 24/7 mode like what a real superstar would do during his career as a WWE superstar. When you aren't beating the crud out of other opponents, you can star in movies, go on dates, get interviewed, go on charity visits, get massages, and some other basic celebrity stuff. I personally don't disagree with 24/7 mode, because I still get fans on my side, and rest when I'm fatigued. But other than 24/7 mode, SvR 08, is just like SvR 07. But SvR 08 has less superstars, and the edition of ECW. Plus all the same match modes are the exact same from SvR 07. So all around, DEFINETLY, rent this game before you buy it!
Okay i'll start with the bad news. The story mode is not as good as last year and there is no point in day offs. The commentating is the same as last year and the year before. WHEN WILL THEY CHANGE THE ANNOUNCER COMMENTS! Controls do take a while to control but I got the hang of them. The story mode scenes are pretty much the same thig but with different people.
Good news, ECW brought good characters. I couldn't wait to be CM punk and tommy dreamer. The ECW matches were the best. A 2x4 barbed wire bat on fire is awesome. I actually liked the events on story mode such as r&r. My Score: 9.5
