Good for a rental and not much else

For a wrestling game, it was one of the better games released in the last few years. However, there is very little depth or strategy involved in it. I understand it's pretty much the equivalent of NBA Jam for wrestling, but it didn't seem as fun as that game was. Actually, I prefer something like the old Wrestlemainia arcade game back in the 90s. The look of the wrestlers was way too big like they were all roided up. Good selection of wrestlers. The reversal system seemed to be really terrible at times, and the overall controls weren't as tight as I would have liked. Another disappointing part was the entrances as I felt that they were too short. Finally, the commentary is awful. I mean really bare-bones, sounding bored, awful.

Overall, it's a different style of wrestling game that hasn't been around in a very long time. At its core, it provides some fun gameplay. But its appeal is limited by lack of depth, some odd gameplay quirks, and a lack of bells and whistles. Not worthy of a purchase for $60, but a decent rental.

What a blast. Fun over the top even for wrestling. Great for kids, easy controls. I play with my son and daughter and the controls are very access able.
