While I don't enjoy the current wrestling product out there, I always find enjoyment in their games. Probably because "the good guy" aka me, never loses and because the customization is off the charts for any console game. While the animation and art style is MUCH more exaggerated than 'serious' wrestling games, other than that there's not much more to be had here. There's a little big of a learning curve but you finally figure out how to constantly win, even though matches will probably be closer than you'd like. The move sets feel a bit limited and there's no way to view signature moves so you end up doing the same one with the Ultimate Warrior even though you've seen everyone has at least 2. Matches are fast paced, which is nice, there's plenty of action and no waiting around for someone to get off the floor (actually there is, but it's only once or twice per match and it's only for a few more seconds than normal). The A.I. still cheats, if you will, by going from nearly defeated to nearly winning, no matter the health bars, plus they can reverse things in ungodly ways if they want. While that sounds like a good way to keep things fresh or 'real', it only made it feel cheap when it was still very difficult for you to reverse things. The 'career' modes (3 different ones, 2 singles and 1 tornado tag) were overall pretty quick, just over an hour to do them. They're nothing spectacular but they're not horrible either. Finally, unlocks and achievements. The offline achievements were not bad, especially for a wrestling game, and were all do-able within a week of rental. The unlocks, however, were quite the opposite. For all entrances, move sets, finishers, and alt. attires you needed to beat 1 to 2 career paths with each wrestler. I did it with 4 people in a week's time, and yes it became VERY redundant. All in all, a very good rental with a bit of fun but it gets old quick and really not worth a full retail price (originally I thought it was going to be an XBLA title)

Yeah ok, its not Smackdown vs Raw BUT its freaking FUN!! The wrestlers are all over the top in terms of looks and its pure arcade bliss. From Rock Bottoms 20 feet high and old classics like Hogans Leg drop or Macho Mans flying elbow its all here!!

Younger people may not know the old classic WWE guys but this game brings them back in all their over the top glory!!

Graphics are cartoony and over the top, music is the good old classic WWE rock and entrances will get you pumped up. If you want a good old fashion fighting/wrestling game then this is it.

Rent or buy, just try it out if your a fan of the WWE

This wrestling game was alright. The path of champions is fun and the cutscenes are funny especially for DX's. Online gameplay was horrible, the people that play they just do the same move all over again like girls. They messed up the actions and looks of the wrestlers because they look to buff and some actions are supposed to be in the ring not on the entrance ramp. The special moves were just unrealistic like they would jump 10-20 ft high and they would get slammed so hard. They also didn't add the pyro for some superstats and there entrances were some times messed up like Edge's he does the punk sign originally and in all stars he just points at himself with his index finger.

After playing WWE all stars I have come to see that it actually is a great game! Many characters have different attires, and the online looks promising. Something that I really did not like (Hence giving it a 7/10) Was the reversal, the timing wasn't the best but you can usually reverse the moves. And lastly, a note on the reversals, different wrestlers have different moves of course, making their reversals harder to reverse or even easier! Once you play with one wrestler for a very long time and learn their moves, you'll be able to reverse it in no time!

Don't look for a slow SVR gameplay this is more Street fighter style.

IF you remember the old wrestling arcade games that quarter after quarter was pumped into when you was a kid/teenager this is an exact equal to that experience.

This is an arcade wrestling game. Over the top moves with nonstop action.

Controls take alittle getting use to but within 30 minutes you are laying the smackdown like it has never been laid down before.

This is an equal to the Nintendo64 wrestler we loved back in the day.

Controls 8/10
Presentation 9/10
Sounds 8/10
Fun Factor 10/10

Fantasy Warfare
The buildup for each match in Fantasy Warfare is nothing short of awesome. Its sinks you into the moment of the match
Nothing like whoopin CM Punk with Stone Cold!!

Path Of Champions
You have three roads to take on this one Battle Undertaker, Randy Orton or DX...But before you get to them you must win 10 matches to prove your mighty skills. Wait until you start the DX road. Classic DX Humor to get you on your way. Use Hogan and Macho man and pop an achievement after your first win for using them two as your tag team.

Online Play
So Far So Good. No lag for me. 4 player slobber knocker fun.

If your still on the fence about this game go rent it. But it will be money wasted you could have used to buy it.

Im Off to lay down some Latino Heat!!!

Wow I haven't played a good wrestling game since N64's WCW game that was out of this world fun. Wrestling has completely blown the big one since WWF became WWE, excluding The Rock and Stone Cold. This game brought back an unreal nostalgia factor of when wrestling was actually cool, back in the early 90s and late 80s. However even if you are into modern microphone wrestling in Raw or Smackdown, this game will still be a blast

I mean wrestling now is filled with huge piles of you know what like The Miz. For me I didn't touch any of the new "Superstars" in the game. WWE Allstars is 100% ALL ABOUT THE LEGENDS such as: The Undertaker, Jake the Snake, Brett the Hitman, Shawn Michaels, Hulk Hogan, Andre the Giant, Macho Man, Mr Perfect, Ultimate Warrior, Sergeant Slaughter and many more. This game lets you take control of those legends in an over-the-top 'Blitz' arcade style brawl.

You can play various modes like 1v1, 1 vs whatever, handicap matches, custom matches, brawls, royal rumbles, weapons & cage matches, and more. You can also totally customize your own wrestler, equipped with unique looks, intro, music, move set, and finishing moves. There is really deep customization for your guy, and you can also choose other wrestler's moves if you want. So if you like Hulk's moves but Stone Cold's finisher, you can do that.

Moves were easy to control in the ring and allowed for reversals, grapples, punches, and tons of unique throws and finishers. You'll build a meter to do finishers, as you'd expect. But controls were pretty easy and functional.

All in all, there is a ton to do which keeps replay value high. Grab a friend and you can play splitscreen or against randoms on xbox live. A path of champions mode lets you compete in a 12 round gauntlet to win the title against the best wrestlers ever. Fantasy mode lets you compete in about 15 matches where 1 Legend plays 1 modern Superstar. I would recommend this game.

WWE All Stars is the best wrestling game to be released since WWF No Mercy, period. It has depth and the fun factor is through the roof. This game was built for local multi player action and the roster is better than any wrestling game ever released. There should be a tutorial just because of the audience that THQ is trying to get to play this game. Not everyone playing this game is a hardcore wrestling game fan but maybe just a wrestling fan. I am really enjoying the game even with the lack of modes. I believe a Royal Rumble mode would have been awesome and perhaps this will be a base to build on in years to come.

This game is just a blast to play. Way over-the top with great animations and signature moves. Like they say - easy to pick up, tough to master.

Not having detailed instructions with the Gamefly rental was a bit of a problem for me. They are quite involved. I couldn't find an online guide. So I ended up buying the Prima Guide and it was well worth the money.

This game will put a big dopey smile on your face once you get the hang of it. No real problems, getting the timing right can be tough - but that's part of mastering the game. Highly recommended if you like an arcadey type style of play.

I personally love this game, Itz very similar to WWF WrestleMania: The Arcade Game so itz alot like a fighting game like street fighter. The only difference iz is that the gameplay iz alot like Def Jam Vendetta which I love. 5/5 stars in my book even though everyone else iz complaining.

It was a fun game. Controls were simple enough. Its worth playing but not worth a purchase unless it drops down to $20 or less. Online didn't work for whatever reason. I tried downloading the compatibility pack but it was still a no go. That might have made it more enjoyable. Decent game though.

This game has a very good concept and fun visuals, but it is lacking in some important fields.

1: It seems as though they spent more time on the excessive appearance than in the acutal game play and details. The moves sets are lacking, something as simple as a press and hold could have changed the dynamics and doubled the moves. The roster is nice, but once you have had games with double the roster, you want to have that same opportunity with a game of this calibre.

2: A staple in WWE games: Create a character mode. The amount that is lacking in this section is astounding. There are no specific move set dynamics at all, simply superstar moves set that you can choose from.

3: Game modes, there are maybe 5 plus the 3 story style modes (WWE title, tag, and world) that is simply not enough for continuos game play ability

Lastly there is no tutorial that can teach you how to use each style effectivly (highflyer, technical, and powerhouse)

With all of that said, this game is fun, and you will have a blasty blast playing with both Legends and Current day superstar. The moves are over the top and ground shaking and it gives you the fan, a chance to put legends against future legends. Randy Orton vs Jake "the snake" roberts, John Cena vs Hulk Hogan, The Big Show vs Andre the giant and the list goes on... You see i am awesome because I have 619 characters left to use.

WWE All Stars

WWE All Stars returns to its roots of miraculous come backs and cheap shots from the AI from the earlier versions of Smackdown Vs Raw series. The only two dereferences between the two titles is the graphics and a heavily padded roster from the past and the present.

The controls are mediocre at best press two buttons at the same time to unleash a signature move, or a alternate finishing maneuver. But doing either one doesn't mean you will win the match!Because just as soon as you go for a pin the AI opponents kick out meter or other reversal meter for cage matches will be half way filled up before you can do anything about it.

Of course the AI can counter any move you do quicker than you can, build up energy faster than you, and do moves that you haven't figured out yet.And the AI will beat you more times than what you care for.

The only thing I can really say that was an improvement over the Smackdown Vs Raw titles is that THQ finally did something about the targeting system in the game. With the simple flick of the right analog stick you can now focus on a different opponent with out a big hassle of maneuvering yourself in the right position just so you attack that one character.

This game is awful. The graphics are decent, but with as many wrestling games as THQ makes, you think they would upgrade their graphics sometime. It's basically the same level of graphics as their first SvR game on 360. The arcade style is nice. The wrestlers are much bigger than normal and the moves are completely over the top. The gameplay, as usual with THQ games, is very poor. The controls don't respond very well at all. There's a lack of depth to the game. As mentioned before with the graphics, they seem pretty lazy. There are several glitches because THQ doesn't really believe in testing the games. The actual play tends to turn into chaos because, as mentioned, the buttons tend not to work. Any time you try to use a finisher your wrestler will just stand in the middle of the ring and look like an idiot before you get hit and you'll never be able to use your finisher. It's not marketed as a fighting game, it's marketed as an arcade style wrestling game. With that said, I was expecting a story mode. Nope. Just your usual fighting game gauntlet. Create a wrestler, again as usual with THQ games, is very poor. There's a very limited amount of characters. Of course, THQ expects you to shell out more money to download more characters, too, because $60 isn't enough. It's not worth a rent. Period.

First off I'm a little puzzled as to why not one person wrote a true review. This game is horrible if you want to wrestle. Long gone are the days when we used to just use move sets, nowadays its all about reversals. These idiotic ideas keep coming. All this game is about is reversals period not moves. You could stand still not do anything and still win the match due to reversals. Its really sad all the people talking about this being a good game have no idea what good game is. If a good game is you doing reversals all day this is your thing. If you have half a brain rent something else that's wroth your time.

Complete and total garbage. Straight button mashing drivel with cheesy looking roided up models. If this is how Vince McMahon sees his product, then that explains alot. Wrestling games have gotten worse year by year and have now finally (hopefully it won't get any worse than this) hit rock bottom.

Super fun game!!Easy controls and easy to pick up and play....biggest let downs is that the roster only has 30 guys but you can use a code to unlock them all but you have to use it every time you start up the game!and there is no online mode so i recommend to rent and especially to rent if you have someone to play against
