I use to play the WWF/E games a lot when I was younger, and hearing all the praise this game got, I wanted to give it a shot. I was pretty disappointed on a few fronts.
1) Graphically better than it's predecessors it still looked dated by todays standards.
2) Creative Mode is nearly the exact same one I remember from the last game I played. Right down to the tattoos you could put on your characters.
3) I loved the fact you could play through the glory that was the Attitude Era. But it sucks you can't experience it for yourself using a created superstar.
4) Controls are still bad, and in my opinion have been since the Smackdown games started.
Overall it's a disappointment to me. I was hoping for something really new, and they changed a few things, polished it up here and there, but this is the same game I've played before, and in some cases it was better back then.
Game wise this game beats last year hands down. Finally not as many problems with the online servers. Graphics look alot better, and gameplay is actually a challenge finally. Even with all this I just feel the game seems to become dull and too repetitive to enjoy after not even a month. The attitude Era looks good on paper but really all it is is reliving past moments in video game form which to me got really boring quickly. The game is a definite rental for sure but only buy it if you have friends to play online with other wise don't expect to have the game that long.
