Character models don't look any better, not much updated on the modes. Only reason to get the game is to play through Road to WrestleMania which you can easily do by renting. Thank you Gamefly, you saved me 60 bucks AGAIN!
Universe Mode is basically the same with some different animations that will get boring very quickly. I'm rating it a 4 because it's playable. You won't enjoy this one if you haven't cared for the last couple WWE games.
I've had the game for about a week or so. Things started off good playing the game and getting to know the controls which weird at first but easy to pick up. Then weird things started to happen, no matter what match you have the CPU always would lock up with your guy and run you into the corner and hang you upside down, beat you up and then repeat. At one point during a match with the Undertaker in a HIAC I irish whipped the Undertaker and he had gone thru the door and ended up running up the ramp and kept on going resulting me in having to start the match over. It's an okay game graphics are great til you get up close and see how oddly shaped the wrestlers were. Thought process was good but I think they need to dump THQ or really strip the game down and try and rebuild it again. If you really need to get an idea of what a WWE game should be check out the other Smackdown vs RAW games and even go as far back as WWF No Mercy. It's almost there but not quite. I also found it disappointing that Road To Wrestlemania basically makes you start as John Cena and you cannot use any other character til it makes you run a story line where you end up playing as Sheamus the rest of the way. All in all its a good rental game but by no stretch of the imagination is it any good to own in my opinion. I've been playing videogames for a long time from the first Nintendo all the way up to Playstation 3 and just dont get excited playing this game!!
