Weak

Disappointed

I am a long time time wrestling fan and this is not what I expected. I have purchased wrestling games in the past for roster only, and this one follows that. I enjoy legends, but I really enjoy them having some use in the game. I have read the reviews for the Road to Wrestlemania and I have to disagree. I found them tedious and boring. My biggest issue is that this game was marketed to be bigger and badder, and just did not live up to the standard. I am a mark for the N64 games, as I truly believe they provided the best wrestling gameplay and longevity. If I was younger I would eat this game up but based on experience, this game disappoints. Better luck next year.

Very Good

The Best Wrestling Game

This game is the first wrestling game that is made to be a wrestling game. There is focus on the story lines just as much as it focuses on the in game action.
There are a plethora of unlock able characters and extras and the Road to Wrestlemania is long and involved with common actions that you'd find in any real WWE storyline.
The intros are great the modeling and action look realistic but aren't afraid to get a tiny bit over the top.

The bad: The game can be buggy, which is common on a game with this much in it. The characters will sometimes hit nothing, wrestlers will magically float after being thrown to the turnbuckle. Not terrible but after a few hours you'll see what I am talking about.
The actions can be repetitive having to do certain actions over and over to get a needed action. I do wish there were more moves for each character but that is a VERY small complaint.
I had trouble with certain wrestlers that are WAY more difficult that any other and there is little you can do but try for a reversal, over and over. They just seem to have an unnatural ability to chain moves together without pause or limit. This can make it extremely frustrating and make me want to stop playing all together against some opponents. You eventually find some cheap and un-fun way to beat them but its after WAY too many times of trying.
Voice acting was very good except Kevin Nash who seemed to be muted on everything he did.

Other than that, its a fantastic game full of old and new wrestlers and this game has a ton of depth. I am not a wrestling fan (well since I was 10) but I enjoyed this game tremendously and feel this is the best wrestling game I have ever played, narrowly beating WCW vs NWO on N64.
