The single fact that there is not one single way to play a true storyline as a custom made wrestlers make this the worse wrestling game I have ever played. Forced to play through a long story line with not one second of making the player empathize with their wrestler and therefore no reason to follow the lamest story I've ever seen.
I don't care who Shamus is or care any about his struggles. What I got the game for was so I could make my character and see them go through all the struggles and play as them not some schmuck I never heard of and could care less about. There was nothing in the story that made me want the guy to win the fights I had to win, and that's on top of the losing in the cut scene after fighting so hard to win the match.... what was the point of fighting in the first place the outcome was already decided to be my loss.
Most people don't want to be led around by the nose the whole game. You get no choices in dialog, story elements, or anything of the likes through the entire story mode until guess what they give you a pre-named character and you get to edit his stats and cloths.... WOW! The story is already written just follow the script why give the player any free will at all.
Also the majority of the storyline to get to that CAW point is extremely not worth it. I honestly don't know why the put a CAW system in at all if your choice of wrestlers for the whole story lines are pre-picked, not only that when you fight to win the match and then lose it in the cut scene really, really makes you not even want to put in the effort.
I am a WWE lover, so I really looked forward to playing this game. I am very disappointed. The controls are horrible, I had to beat the block button to death to even get one block in. I also felt that after one hit, it took the superstar forever to recover while your opponent, jumps right back up after you beat him to a pulp, makes no sense. I thought the graphics sucked, and were choppy. It was a shame to see WWE put out a product like this.
