I couldn't even make it through the First Race, not even half way through the first race. There is no flow to the car, it felt like Atari Pole Postion. The guy in passenger seat never shuts up and is really annoying and you have no idea what he's saying - I Hate This Game.

Tries to be Dirt...fails at being fun

I've been a fan of real rally games since the Colin McRae days, so I was really excited to see a new WRC game come around. However, there are just too many flaws in the presentation of the game to consider it a "good" rally game.

There are two main modes - WRC Experience and a Career Mode (forget the actual name). The WRC Experience puts you right in the action of the WRC season. You can select from a number of actual driver/co-driver teams, which is nice. However, there is little feeling of progress as you go. There is nothing special after you win a series before moving on to the next. It's almost like the game expects you to sit and play through the entire season in one sitting. There is no main "garage" or "pit" screen like in the Formula 1 games. It goes right from the last stage of one rally to the first stage of the next.

The career mode is even worse. You basically have to race in the different regions, unlocking new races as you earn stars. Stars also unlock new cars and new performance modifications.

The problem is that none of it makes any sense. Usually in a career mode you start out small and work your way up. In this mode, it's so random that there is no feeling of progression. You may start out in a "rookie FWD" race (which is nice), but just a few races in you're driving a WRC car. How does that make sense? Then the next race may put you in a classic 80's car or a "class 3" rally car. There is no logical order to the races or the progression through your career.

The main objective is to beat "rising stars", but these people are never even introduced. If you beat enough races in an area you can race them 1 on 1 in a super special stage, but the opponent is no more personal than all of the other NPC's in the game. There is no bio, no dialogue...nothing to make you WANT to beat them, other than to just keep progressing through the game.

The final nail in the coffin was the "challenges". They try too hard to be like Dirt, and failed mi
