Virtua Tennis 2009 for Wii Reviews by Gamers

I guess I had high hopes for this game. Been reading all the hype on the Motion Plus and thought, hey, on the rainy days, I can stay in and practice and have some fun.

Well, needless to say, it just doesn't do it for me. Here are some remarks:

1) Why can't you just set the dang setting for Motion Plus ONCE!!! and forget it? Why keep asking us for it??

2) the VT coach is not helpful. It is vague and a poor coach. It should be fired

3) Unlike EA Grand Slam, when you move your remote, your avatar's racquet does not move, so you can't get a sense of how your guy's going to run to meet the ball

4) Where is the phenomenal motion sensing enhancement that I was expecting???

5) Graphics are so so - pretty much the same as the first Virtua Tennis games.

6) Not many mini games like the past. Also, they're pretty hard if you don't use the nunchuk. And it's hard even if you do use.

My advice, try the EA Grand Slam, I think you will be pleasantly surprise!

So the mini games are fun and the fact that you get to create your own character basically from scratch is great. The moves are easy enough and it gets you moving. However, it's hard to navigate and figure out where you're supposed to go for matches. I lost interest rather quickly when it took a while to figure out.
