Viewtiful Joe's newest game, Red Hot Rumble, does not live up to it's expectations. What's bad about this game is that there is too much chaos on the screen at once, and not in a good way. Let's take an example. In one level, you must beat up as many opponents in under a time limit. Unfortunately, the game moves too fast, and so many events such as the new micro game during battle edition, throwing boxes and using power ups make the game mainly like Where's Waldo. Plus, the game can become a chore since now each run of a level has "requirements", such as "Stay ahead of your Opponents" or "Win One Task." Let's not forget the "Don't Fall Down Twice" levels.
But for some credit, The graphics capture the feel of Joe's world, the audio ain't bad, and the gang is a fun, "party hard" group. Plus the controls are simple as simple can be. Just press "A" to jump, and "B,Y,X" to attack.
But unfortunately, nothing can save Joe from this slightly above average SSBM sell out. A 6 out of 10.
