Vexx is fairly simple in base concept, wildly attack all in your way to collect the hearts and save your world. But what I found this game brings to the table that differs from your typical platformer is the mood and ability to just unleash on your enemies. Enemies become stronger at night and no longer is a simple swipe jump or pound sufficient to deal with them. To me the ability to juggle an enemy into the air pummel it about 50 times then slam it to the ground gives this platformer something a little more rewarding than is common in this genre.
Also the difficulty range is nice with most challenges being relatively easy but others hidden behind puzzles and a few extremely challenging to get that lovely 100% completion.
