Vanquish for Xbox 360 Reviews by Gamers

This game had poor advertisement and popularity for some reason. I really didn't know what to expect from it. After I played and beat it in a day's sitting, I was shocked. Vanquish has so much to offer. Visually, the game is ridiculously impressive. Every battle, every spark, explosion, environment, and boss battle was brilliant. The motion blur and bullet-time mode (ability which slows down time) really show it. The games engine handles everything on screen (which is quite a bit...) without a loss in frame rate. The game play is a bit like Gears of War (third-person shooter) but that's not a bad thing! Story was a little dull. Nothing really special there. There's an upgrade system that is almost useless and collectible statues are fun to search for. Challenge modes and leaderboards keep the game competitive. There's no multilayer, but really the campaign if fun enough.
One of the best experiences you'll ever play. This is not a game to buy though, the replay value is very low. Overall Vanquish was just visually brilliant and the game play was well polished to the max. Felt very smooth and perfected. A must play!
