Decent Game

I can see someone renting this game for two reasons.
1) You have kids.
2) You know this game has a simple platinum trophy (me).
The game isn't bad. Did it leave me wishing there were more levels? Not really. I finished the game in one sit-down. It took around 3-4.5 hours. The game is straight forward, there isn't anything that I would call challenging. You walk from one side of the level to the other.
The gameplay reminded me of the Lego Starwars/Indiana Jones/Batman games. The levels keep you contained, but twist and turn and they feel bigger than they really are. There are ton of collectables that are easy to find, you'll want to grab as many of the 'coins' (I beleieve they were wilderness badges)as possible. Actuaslly, just smash and grab everything you can. Much like the Lego games, the different colored 'coins' were worth different points. The points would unlock different cards that give you a group of objects to find.Just about every level has 3 of the game item hidden for you to find (Bronze, Silver and Gold); plus another item that fell out of Carl's house (the old man).
The game was cute. I can see young kids enjoying the game. If you're going for that Platinum trophy you won't hate yourself for playing the game (unless you're expecting Call of Duty). I had my girlfriend join in and she was able to grasp the controls quickly. The levels use a lot of Co-op playing, but if playing on your own the A/I of the other player is good. Only once did the character get stuck since you can switch between characters it isn't a problem.
Rent it if you're looking for a decent game to play with your kids, or if you're looking for the easy trophy. I was able to get all but 5 trophies after the first time through. The last 5 I grabbed after 30 minutes or so of extra game time.
