I thought this game was good but was lacking in the online gameplay. I found it very difficult to navigate and with not being able to load your saved characters data it makes it really difficult to join others games, especially if the enemy is much stronger than you. I definitely think it is worth renting and worth keeping at the Gamefly price. I would not pay $60 retail for it at the local store though.

Think of the old school Guantlet with level ups and add-ons and that's what you have with this game. The online is not much better. Like most of the release titles, this one seems rushed and lacking. If you want to just kill enemy after enemy and see some nice cut scenes (some of which have TERRIBLE blocking) then try it out. Don't buy it. Wait for one of the better RPG's to come along.

I give it four noses out of ten. Smells like toe jam.

Suprisingly Fun

Ive been a long time fan of gauntlet and Champions of Norath. Having said that, this game was a simple, entertaining game. I loved putting together some sick combos. Depsite all the bad ratings this game has recieved, if you like these types of games you WILL like this game. However, if you despise the very existance of hack and slash games and are expecting a deep game, you probably will not.
