Entertaining but not much lasting power

I enjoy watching MMA and I did like the first one, never picked up the second. I like the ability to build a character from the ground up, but the combat systems is a little flawed toward stand up striking. I set up my fighter to be buy thai with wrestling back ground and it seems it was more just boxing than MMA. I did enjoy playing through his whole career all the way to champion, but I don't see myself playing it again.
