While I thought MMA was a better game than UFC 2010, this game makes it easier to handle no EA MMA game release. The graphics & sound are excellent, and make you feel as though you're actually watching a UFC event on PPV. All the actual announcers, commentators, and even ring girls are there. There are more moves than last year, more work on the cage, and the submission system has been re-done for the better. CAF mode is also better and less tedious. Gone are the 'diminishing' stats and odd ways to improve your fighter. l would like if the comp would say your name like on other games. Either more choices or something. On MMA it read my 1st AND last name, and l don't share my name with anyone in the UFC. All the sponsors are there though, and the banners are done much better too. I have to take points away though for yet more corporate GREED. 60 bucks for a game, yet they want you to pay over 20 bucks more to have the full game? Overeem not included? Boo! (And no, they never sent my code from Facebook.) Extra cash for lesser named guys? Pay for the 'opportunity' to re-create fights? Dumb. The PRIDE mode is awesome though! Almost worth it just for PRIDE. They even have the actual commentators, the announcer chick, and even the PRIDE refs wearing the video cams! But where is Sakuraba!? If you want us to pay for DLC, give us Saku or Fedor! If you're a UFC or MMA fan though, this is a must-buy. They even have the real-life camps for you to join! Too many missing fighters, and nothing in a game should have to be unlocked with money, but overall...well done.

If your a fan of the UFC or just like fighting games, this is perfect for you. The graphics are fantastic, the blood and gore adds that extra something, and the variety of different style opponents keeps it interesting. The only complaint for this game is the new submission style. It gets a little confusing and if your new to the franchise like me, takes a while to really get good at using it. Besides that minor flaw, it well worth the 40 hours you'lll be putting in to this game.
This game is pretty close to real life as you can get. the only negative about this game is sometimes a fighter takes an unrealistic amount of punishment, other then that its a must have for the mma/pride fans.
the stand up is excellent, each fighter has its unique skill set, the blocking is great, graphics are amazing.
a lot of people have said the ground game is bad or tricky, it is flawless to me, if you do the traing camp before you begin fighting, you will learn all you need to know.
