Twin Strike: Operation Thunder for Wii Reviews by Gamers

This game is just "plane" garbage! For one thing, the "arcade" missions are no fun. -THE FIRST MISSION- should not be as hard as it is. I never got past THE FIRST LEVEL of the "arcade" mission-it's the first flipping level! it should be a piece of cake! You have litterally ZERO options to change-there's no options screen to be found, so you can't change the control scheme even down to simple button re-mapping! Why can't the trigger-like B button be the fire button? Speaking of the fire button, the missiles didn't shoot straight! HOW DID THEY MESS THAT UP! Often they appeared to deliberately dodge their target! They'd just go all over the place in an insane path AWAY from the target! DUMB DUMB DUMB! Also, the changing target icons mean NOTHING. I thought it would mean it was a guided missile and the changing icon meant it was "locked" but no-same results. Sometimes they'd shoot straight but usually not. As a result you'd end up wasting a lot of missiles. Also, your "fighter" vehicle could not land to pick up/drop off anything. That meant that your faster, more agile fighter could never pick up any armor, fuel, or extra missiles. Ever. and no, your support heli didn't transfer any of it's pickups to the fighter.

The worst part was the controls. You could strafe sideways by tilting the nunchuck, if it was connected. Sound easy? well you'd be wrong! It wasn't like really turning a steering wheel-more like pushing a button- full on or full off. What's worse, it seemed that the game could not tell what direction you were moving the nunchuck. Sometimes it would go in the opposite direction you were moving it. It would even move left or right when you tilted the nunchuck up-tilting it up was not supposed to do A-N-Y-T-H-I-N-G. Also, sometimes the steering (with main controller, not NC) would not work consistently. It wasn't as bad as strafing but sometimes it would take more tilt than other times to turn the same amount!
There are better wii games. Don't bother.
