1 Word ... 5 Reasons!!!

In short this is a previous system game for like the PS2 or original XBOX (graphics, game play, online connection, lack of physics on kills, repetitive are all a previous generation console type)!

1. Graphics - in short i'd rather play Socom 3 at least it has better game play.

2. Game Play - Very structured and routine (no thinking outside the box)!

3. Online connection - Well tried 5 times, finally got on and well lag is an understatement. The guys legs don't even move they look like they are floating.

4. Lack of Physics on Kills - Took a whole clip to kill someone and they just crumble, no animated deaths.

5. Repetitive play - Even on the single play, the game will lag. The enemy just fall the same way every time and have no "rag doll physics"

Final word do not waste you money save it for Army of two or Rainbow six 2 this month. THIS GAME IS NOT EVEN IN THE SAME UNIVERSE OF COD4 and if you think so, you should not be giving reviews. I don't write reviews but when I saw someone give this game a 9, they are doing alot of people injustice to say so.

Concerned writer.

Terribly Disappointing

When I first heard about this game, i got quite excited, as i always enjoy these What If situations. The prospect of defending the U.S. has always been a novel idea. I have a What If of my own to present.

What If the developers actually bothered to check what they had just made before they shipped the game?

This is one of the biggest disappointments in the past year for me. The graphics look like they were from an OK PS2 game. For the models, some of the germans were kinda cool, but they looked like rip-offs from Killzone, with glowing orange eyes.

If you've played multiple WW2 shooters before, then you'll notice the gun models, which are obviously supposed to be updates of their past designs, such as the MP50 or Gewehr 47, look exactly the same as the old guns. The developers didn't even bother trying to be original.

The AI is some of the worst i've ever seen. You can often just stand there and just pick off your enemies one by one, or even just run up to them and melee them. The only tactic they seem to use is occasionally taking cover, and that's it. Multiple times they even killed themselves with their own grenades.

As for story, read the game description. There's your story. I was at least hoping to see a timeline or something explaining the events leading up to the attack on the U.S. As for the character you play, well, he is apparently your everyman construction worker who has more ability than the whole U.S. army combined.

This game would have been decent 7 or 8 years ago, when this sort of thing was not uncommon, but we're in the next-gen age, this sort of game is simply unacceptable.

Another dud

I can't believe it. Do the game developers even review the game before the release it? This abortion of a game looks like a bad PS2 platform. The gameplay is horrific and the graphics are choppy and look like a south park episode, (I shouldn't even give it that much credit). My head hurts after playing and had to write a review. I'd rather play Freedom Fighters for PS2 than this piece of garbage. It's going back to tommorow and can't wait for Army Of Two.
