This game is a must to any Grand Theft Auto fan, speaking of GTA, True Crime: NYC is a million times better than any GTA game. The graphics aren't the best ever, but their pretty good for Activision. If you've played True Crime: Streets of LA, you're guaranteed to fall in love with this free-roaming shooter.

This game is very fun and it's a blast to become a cop. You never get tired of car chases with four of your fellow cops following you to help bust the perp.
It has a nice long storyline where you must take down four different gangs and find out who is the mole inside the police station. You have the whole "good cop/Bad cop" thing but it doesn't really do nothing to the story. The only thing it does is give you extra money but this is useless because after a couple of arrests your bank account is bursting at the seams with money.
The game does have bugs. Sometimes when you enter a building the game will just simply freeze up. To its credit, the game does advise you to save after everything you do just in case.
Overall, it's the best of the "GTA clones" and with a little less bugs it could have been a contender for GTA's crown.

Well if you liek taken people down or even taken people out this is a fairly good game you'll stay up all night roaming the streets looking for crimes to handle. There are car races around the city and arena fights. You'll have 2 move up in rank if you want certain items and cars ect... head shots and even limb shots with the zoom button Z+B. eventually you'll get bored with the same crimes and so then you'll have 2 get into the story mode. There are many different clothes and different fighting styles you can purchase such as karate many guns to choose from with different power many cars even motorcycles you can drive. Of course you can also frisk people if you suspect they have drugs on them but be aware that most bad guys fight back. In closing this game is a good game 2 play when you're waiting on the next one 2 come in.
