TRON: EVOLOUTION is a game I know a lot of people have always looked forward to. Sadly though, this game did not live up to my expectations. The story mode is quite short and not very fun or interesting. Granite, I will say there were a few parts that I really enjoyed such as free running to get to my next destination, or riding my light cycle through the well detailed grid. The graphics were very nice, and the attacks were... ok. The only thing that I feel was done perfectly was the amazing online play. It was such a thrill riding a light cycle right next to someone trying to knock them off. But sadly, that still doesn't make up for the poor story. It's supposed to explain what was happening during the time lapse between TRON and TRON: LEGACY, but it honestly didn't do that. All it really felt like was just you playing as a guy with no real name trying to fight an evil enemy. It explained absolutly nothing. It didn't explain what happened to Tron, it didn't explain more about Quora, and it didn't explain more about Clu's evil plans. The story mode itself was also just pretty stupid. All and all, the game was decent. Could it have been better? Yes. Could it have been worse? Yes.
ummm, what exactly is the move controller for? other than that, the controls were clunky, game is boring, and how exactly do i jump straight up a wall? all of this the game very tedious and boring and too complex to even worth playing
Overall the game is o.k. For the environment, the blue explosions are overkill and makes it very difficult to see where you are going. The "free running" inspired movement is more annoying than it's worth. Playing the game gives the impression the coders and volume modelers cut corners like crazy. The lock-on system is lacking. The lightcycle sequences are frustrating in that there is no advanced indication on where you have to go to avoid danger, thus it's very easy to get killed, making you start over.
The graphics are nice, but the gameplay could have been a LOT better.
