I loved the gameplay. Performing fast, precise surgeries was a blast. Part shooter, part simulation, but ultimately unique, this game shows just how much promise the Wii has.
Unfortunately, much of the game's previous incarnation as a DS game remains all-too-evident. There was way too much dialogue (in text, no voice acting), and the story was fun but ridiculous. I would much rather have spent more time focusing on the "operations" than all that other stuff.
I also felt that after a point, the levels began to get repetitive. Same creature types, same strategy, same situation. The final stages in levels 5 and 6 were great, but much up to that point was just rehashing enemies and procedures from earlier levels.
However, this game does make me very excited for the kinds of games that have yet to be released for the system. If the type of gameplay in this game appears again, we're all in for a real treat.
