I thought the singleplayer mode sucked because it was different then the move and megatron is supposed 2 have a hood and he needs 2 look more like he did in the movie. i think multiplayer is funner because you can create your own character and weapons and play with other people. I strongly suggest that they should make a remake on this game. I recommend renting this game and playing multiplayer until you get board of it then send it back.

Since most of the reviews are coming from people that are more interested in "Movie tie-in" campaigns - which are always disappointing no matter what movie the game is based on - this review is for the fans of multiplayer modes of "Transformers: War for Cybertron."

Now, given - no company is going to give away the movie with a tie-in game released before the movie hits the theater. Common sense will tell you that the campaign mode on here serves no other purpose than to get you familiar with the game controls. The campaign succeeds in that as well as provide a few easy achievements/ trophies, and that's about it.

As for the multiplayer, here's the good news - its more of the same fun as the TF: War for Cybertron multiplayer as promised from High Moon Studios. The one button transformations, fast paced action that combines "Vehicle or Robot" choice tactics, large maps with close-quarter corners and streets, rank unlock upgrades - everything we love about War for Cybertron, but with the Movie skin-jobs and Earth locales instead of Cybretron battlefields.

Is it enough to justify buying the game at full price? I'd have to say no, unless you're one of these players that just has to be the first to rank up and unlock all the goodies first. Asides from that, the multiplayer is better suited as a DLC expansion for TF: War for Cybertron than it is a stand-alone full price game. Probably better to wait for a sale or maybe a post-movie price drop.

To stack it against the prior TF movie games, the campaign is on par with the rest, but the multiplayer makes it the better of the three. TF: War for Cybertron is still the superior of all the Transformer games.
