A two year old on a tennis court has more control of there game more then this game allows.
Tennis is simple. Swing early to aim left. Swing late to aim right. Swing down-to-up to create top spin, up-to-down to make a drop shot, and twist your raquet upwards to lob your shot high. This is simply - you play tennis with nothing more than your arm, wrist, and a pair of quick legs.
But Topspin 4 is anything but simple. First you have to use a nunchuck. You have to hold wand sideways. Why would you need a second controller in this game?? Well, you use it to run around. So it replaces your legs. Well, okay - I'd have literally rather run around my living room, but fine - I can deal with it. But then you have to also use that nunchuck - the same stick - to aim your shot... Wait, what? You're supposed to use your raquet to do that. Also, you have to use the A and B buttons on the controller to create loft and drop shots. You're supposed to use your raquet for that too!! So instead of using a motion controller to control all your motions, you use it to do nothing but swing - and even that doesn't always work.
