Let me start off by saying that Top Spin 2 is a solid overall game. If you played the first one you will find that they improved upon many things, mainly the career mode.
I was a huge fan of the first game, but have to say that overall I was very disappointed with the sequel. While the career mode is deep, it is also boring. The appeal of the first one was that it was somewhat a sim with a lot of arcade feel. Now they've taken it to the maximum sim with little to no arcade feel to the gameplay.
The other letdown is that for an Xbox 360 I expected something new. Some kind of innovation. But overall, this could have been done on the original Xbox. The graphics aren't even next gen when you look at them, (even in HD).
But it is a solid game, and one I'm sure many out there will enjoy. But if you played the first one you've pretty much played this one (except this one is more realistic). You won't find anything cutting edge or that stands out as great.
It's a shame. I had this game less than a week and sent it back. I was really hoping for more out of it.
