Top Shot Arcade promises to be better than your average on rails hunting game, but it turns out to be worse than your average on rails hunting game.
There are 90 levels that are available to play - but each level lasts about a minute, which makes this game have about one an a half hour’s worth of hunting on it.
It would be great if every time you played the same level was different from the last time, but that’s not the case here. The animals appear in the same locations and go in the same path every time. This vastly reduces the replay value.
Another problem with this game is you only get one gun - a hunting rifle. No shotguns and no pistols like you find in other games of the genre. What’s even worse is after firing a shot, you have to manually load the next bullet into the chamber. It annoying.
There are a few interesting bonus games you come across as you proceed through the stages, but they aren’t enough to overcome the all to mundane main stages.
And you can play this game with up to four players, but there are other on rails hunting games that will let you do that - and give you a better choice of weapons.
Top Shot Arcade just doesn’t measure up to the competition. SKIP IT.
