Hard to Get Used To

The game offers are tutorial, but only on the absolute basics. When you need to beat the first level, you almost need to be a pro at the game! It calls for ninja-like navigation, percision ollies, and tons of manual combos. I would say I spent the majority of time on the first level, until I finally got used to tieing manual connections. The game has an annoying tendency to freeze, however, and stat points are just a headache.
Aside from the main gameplay, online was so shot full of mods it was hard to play. I kept seeing people with mods that make them have perfect manual so it was impossible to win any games.
After the online gameplay, there is always a park creator. This is good enough, but just like skating it takes a while to know which pieces fit where. All in all, it was great for its time. But, if your not getting it for nostalgia, get the more recent versions of Tony Hawk games or better yet, of you have a 360, get Skate 3.
