Very impressed so far with the game. I love the Uncharted series and this feels very similar to that. The bow is awesome and I will definitely be using it more than the guns. Between this and Crysis 3 I think the good ol recurve is making a comeback.
Overview: Incredible Single Player, Mediocre and Imbalanced Multiplayer
Good: This game's Single Player is very well polished. It plays very well, and they have included features like pressing "L2" for awareness which shows you the interactive objects and keeps the puzzles going. I never felt stuck for too long, like in some of the early Tomb Raider games.
Neutral: Some players may dislike that they have "Maps" for each area which show the location of everything you can find in the game. Collect them all and you won't have to go searching to find everything. I liked it because it means you won't need a strategy guide to 100% the game.
Bad: 1) There was an incredibly annoying audio bug that occurred for me in the first area. It just kept looping the same few notes over and over. This is probably rare. 2) I blew up some cover before entering an area, and it made it so I could see a few enemies spawning. Both of these are minor things in the scope of the game. 3) The Multiplayer is laggy and imbalanced.
Very well done. Feels a lot like LOST the TV series.
They did a great job capturing the emotional journey for Lara, and I really felt connected, and cared about the story and characters.
Smooth. The animations in single player are very fluid. Lara takes cover automatically, by positioning herself against a wall, or crouching behind objects. But she does so without actually moving from where you put her. It makes the game appear very realistic, and also makes it fun. The action and puzzle gameplay are both very solid.
A+, this game looks great.
Watch the behind the scenes. They actually made a unique musical instrument to "be" the island. It sounds very nice throughout the game. And the footsteps, gunshots, and voice-acting is great too.
I would give the Single Player a 10/10, easily.
The Multiplayer I would give about a 3.5/10.
Overall, I give it a 9/10. I think they should have left the multiplayer off, o
