I'll start by saying that I have been gaming for a long time now, and love every type of genre and perspective (fps or 3rd person). I rented this game after seeing pretty positive reviews, and let me say that they were spot on. This game is flat out amazing! I haven't experienced such a good story, or had this much fun since the Uncharted games. Everything about this game is smooth and looks great. I highly recommend Tomb Raider to anyone looking for something new and awesome.

It was nonstop action! I really like games that are more relaxed, but this was great! I love sniper games, so the arrows were cool also! I just finished so now I guess it's back to Far Cry. I can take my time on Far Cry!

Good

Good, but too unoriginal to be great

Well, it plays exactly like Uncharted meets Arkham City, so basically it's Uncharted 3. Only, without the ridiculous level of polish of those two games.

Don't get me wrong, the effort is apparent, and almost everything is done well. The collectibles are cleverly hidden to encourage exploration, the difficulty level is moderate (maybe a little too low), and the game is fun. However, Uncharted had the added benefit of the best voice cast ever assembled for a game, and Arkham City had the bleeping Batman. The new Lara is not on that level, at least not yet.

Definitely worth a play if you are a fan of Uncharted or Rocksteady's Batman games, as it is nearly identical.
