I have to say, without a doubt, that tomb raider is one of the best games I've played this Gen. Now I may be a bit biased as I've loved every tomb raider since one and comparing the two is night and day.
The story of this game is the greatest aspect. It shows someone changing right before your eyes. Everyone knows the real Lara, and to see her transform to what she starts as in the game, to what she will later become is mind boggling. The story really brings you into Lara. You feel for her, you cringe for her pain, when she's sad, you're sad. The emotional experience went so far that at one point, I may have teared up. Which hasn't happened due to a game in 9 years since last Generation.
Another key aspect to the game that I did enjoy was the gameplay. The gameplay was fun and far from reptitive. I normally get very bored with any shooter over 8 hours with the gameplay, it's understandable why they're so short. I was excited and concerned when I found Tomb Raider was going to be a 20 hour campaign, however You actually don't want it to end, you wish the story would continue further and further, a 40 hour campaign would have been too short for me.
All in all, the game is amazing, I'm so glad I bought this game right away, and would recommend this game to anyone and everyone.

I gave it 8 stars because it was really close to being uncharted except a few major differences. The game did have a few bugs at first but then a new update came. Most bugs were fixed so, that was good. I like the new Laura than the old one. The voice acting was excellent and, it was action packed at some parts. It was good that it was open world because, I wouldn't like if it was a total rpg. I didn't think it stuck the ending which I was sad about.
