It's hard to explain everything that is great about this new Tomb Raider. There is many things it does not have from other Tomb Raiders but at the same time it adds so much more than previous Tomb Raiders.
Combat is much more involved and you won't get by with just button mashing like all previous versions.
The annoying puzzles every 15 seconds are gone. You have 1 large area to explore at your leisure and do what you want (as you progress in the story anyways). If you find yourself needed a stronger weapon, you can go back a few camps and kill easier things until you build up some points to purchase them.
The graphics are stunning. I found myself looking at the background way too much during my first play through and I ended up missing key button presses or signs an enemy was coming.
One of the few GameFly games I'm considering buying.
