If you liked Uncharted, you will enjoy this game. Solid combat mechanics. Linear tale on rails, but any intriguing ride nevertheless. You'll come back for the game-play and exploration.
Story was so-so and other than Lara herself, you don't much care about the rest of the cast. Good news is the majority of the game and pacing is done well with Lara alone, and the mechanics of play are enough to keep you wanting to figure out what happens next. Overall, it was fun to play, but after having just beaten Bioshock 3, the story of TR was a mediocre comparison at best.

This game is one of the best Tomb Raider games made in the series and I'd say one of the best games that came out within the last year or two. The graphics are phenomenal along with the story. Combat is pretty cool and all the weapons you get. Lots of optional tombs to explore. Just so much to explore in this game you'll probably have to play it more then once or at least for several hours to get everything. Definitely worth buying.

Story: This game is a reboot of the long and popular original Tomb Raider series starring the same protagonist Lara Croft. She is an archeologist who embarks on an expedition with a few of her friends and collegues to a remote japanese island of interest. En route there via ship, they are overtaken by a storm, and Lara is washed onshore, only to be captured by bandits. Shortly after, she frees herself and the rest of the game focuses on her efforts to survive, regrouping with her crew, discovering the hidden secrets of this apparently cursed island, and safely getting off it.
Graphics/Controls: The graphics are pristine and the scenary is well done. The controls are fluid, straightforward, and fairly easy to utilize.
Gameplay: Tomb Raider is a 3rd person shooter action/adventure/survivor open world, role-playing game. It consists of a series of objectives to accomplish in order to make progress in the story. The game features exploratory, looting, problem solving, and occassional stealth mechanics. It also has an XP, "currency" (salvage), weapon mod, and skill tree system. There are optional side challenges (which earn you XP) that include: collecting documents, relics, gps caches, treasure maps, and raiding hidden tombs; thus giving it good replay value. The gameplay is enjoyable and addictive, and has good length (about 10-12 hours).
