Keeping it short and sweet: Tomb Raider 2013 is a fantastic prologue to Lara Croft's legacy, and a strong GOTY contender.
The story is well written and acted out fantastically. It is easy to get pulled in and lose track of time because you want to see what happens next.
The Graphics are some of the best of any game out there. Emotions on the characters' faces and eyes look outstanding. Cutscenes blend flawlessly into the gameplay, and there are no loading screens in between. The game just FLOWS.
Controls were tight and never felt heavy or sluggish. The camera controls worked well too. Everything from climbing to shooting was well done.
Even the multiplayer was fun in its own right. Don't go in expecting Halo of COD type fights. The only flaw really, is that the experience growth method comes into play a lot, and those with higher levels are privy to more powerful weapons, which can be a drag to those lower-leveled folks. Also, teams seems somewhat unbalanced in a couple of the modes, but it does not make the multiplayer unplayable.
Overall, Tomb Raider is not one to pass up, whether you are a series veteran, rookie, or into action/platforming games. 9.5/10!
This game is very fun to play and the controls are solid. Very interesting storyline that is takes awhile to play even if you do none of the side quests. I played this game for three days and was still not done with the main story even though I was not doing the side quests. Very worth renting and than buying. I know I plan to buy this one.
