This game is hands down one of the best story modes ive ever play. I think they nailed ever aspect of this game right on the head. In my opinion this game is flawless. The story is amazing it will keep you glued to your tv for hours. Very very addicting I couldnt put the controller down for about 8 hours. Its a bit longer than most single player games id say about 15 hours, if you do all optional missions ect around 18-20. This game will win game of the year a must rent!!!
I have never actually played a game that I felt like I was playing a movie, I have now. Absolutely amazing. Challenging Platforming and Puzzles, Fluid Interactive Cinematics, Fluid and Satisfying combat, emotionally engaging and heart pounding story. Bottom Line. PLAY THIS GAME IMMEDIATELY.
This game has everything that I love.
The graphics and setting are amazing, the soundtrack gets your blood pumping.
Even the quiet moments when you are entering a dark tomb, squeezing into the small space between boulders and can only hear Lara's haggard breathing produce a fear response that made me realize my heart was beating faster and I was short of breath.
I loved the collectibles too. If you found the treasure maps, you could get them all without too much difficulty. The challenges were a bit more difficult and required keen observation, but I didn't feel they were impossible and online guides were helpful if you get stuck.
Overall, however, the pacing of the game keeps you GLUED to the game for hours. It was literally impossible for me to stop playing it. You get to one area, clear it of enemies piece by piece, hunt around for stuff, then get treated to Hollywood-level excitement as the next area's scene is set.
Another plus is that you actually LEARN stuff about the ancient Japanese kingdom of Yamatai, and some of their culture too. This adds to the coolness factor.
I haven't played multiplayer, and may not, but I don't care. You need to rent this game, if for no other reason than to EXPERIENCE it.
