Great interactive open world game, the only reason I rated 8 instead of 9 was due to the length of the game; a little short. But the short length is far surpassed in acceptability by the unique story line and unexpected twists. The game play was very smooth, action packed, and non stop. Always something to kill in-between the interactive world (climbing and such) Epic ending. Only suggestions would be to add more perks to choose from and make the game a little more lengthy.
I didn't actually get into the Tomb Raider series until the last game. I have to say that this game was much better and I love how it all flows as far as storyline (besides the ending) and action. I also like how they incorporated the challenges and weapon upgrades. Speaking of challenges, that's the reason I didn't rate the game higher than an 8. I went into the game wanting to complete all of the challenges to get a 100% achievement on the game. It was almost at the end of the game that I ran into the "mine sweeper" challenge and I hit a glitch. I destroyed all of the mines but the game never recognized it as being accomplished, which gave me a glaring 99% completion on the game. If I could make a recommendation, finish the challenge in one whack in the area. Maybe my doing it partially and then coming back to finish it did something but none of the other challenges gave me that issue. I was also in another part of the game where you're supposed to jump onto a ledge and it wouldn't let me hang onto it. Thankfully when I reloaded the checkpoint it fixed itself, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to finish the game. Other than those issues I highly recommend the game. The action and control is awesome and I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what else they come up with in the series.
