While probably too similar to Uncharted (is that a bad thing?), this game successfully reboots the Tomb Raider franchise. The story and characterization are at times sublime, particularly for Lara Croft. The graphics, gameplay, and voice acting are top notch and assists both the story and setting in feeling both genuinely moving and real. The only gripes with this stellar game are the lack of quality characterization for Lara's party and the rather rushed feeling of Lara never having killed to slaughtering hundreds by the conclusion. Aside from these minor gripes, this was a superlative experience and will most likely be a game of the year contender.
Just a quick review. I really enjoyed this game. Great action. Great set pieces. The story was nothing really new, but I love the reinvention of Lara. Graphics were great. Multiplayer is awful, but the main campaign was amazing and really fun. Only real drawbacks were that I found it to be a bit on the shorter side, and I would have loved to see at least twice as many actual tombs to raid. Hopefully we'll get more in the sequel.
