I loved it. The single player is the perfect blend of great story telling, open world exploration, and fun combat. I previously thought Bioshock Infinite was the best game I've played this year, but now I think Tomb Raider might have the edge.
Ahhh Tomb Raider. A series that could be described as being on the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. Sort of like Sonic though, Lara Croft is on her way back to the side of good games with this latest reboot. It does everything it need to get right. The story, while not the most amazing thing ever (people trapped on an island with a dangerous clan of other people because an Asian sun god won't let them leave) the characterization of Lara is actually, you know, likeable, believable, not a fictionalized version of Angelina (Seriously screw those movies.) The gameplay is spot on, from the shooting, the platforming, all of it feels more like Uncharted then older Tomb Raider games (yes I see the irony and that statement) and personally I feel it plays better for it. THe graphics are also really good, the game is absolutely stunning at times, again reminiscent of the recent uncharted games. Does this game have it's faults? Oh sure, the upgrade system, hunting, and online multiplayer seemed half baked. But with a 20 hour campaign, plus optional secret tombs, and I guess someone will like that multiplayer, you will get your money's worth out of this game.

I actually really liked this game, the graphics and gameplay were both great and the story (although short) was entertaining.
I played through this game 4 times and got all 50 of the achievements so it's a pretty easy 1000Gs.
The Multiplayer is a bit of a pain and there are cheaters but not too many and it's pretty fun once you get use to it.
