This game has to be by far one of the most beautiful games I've had the opportunity to play in the past year. Besides Crysis 3. Everything in this game is simply beautiful. The tombs you have the option of exploring, the beach, the water, mountains, just everything. The gameplay is great. It's really smooth and easy to move in and out of things, fire your weapons, etc. It has a similar feel to that of the Uncharted series. I know some people hate when others say it, but if you've played it, you can't deny it. It's not even a bad thing! I love them both. It's like an Uncharted with bewbs. The online is also great. You can set traps for your enemies to either get stuck in, or killed. For instance there's one trap where if the enemy trips the wire, spikes come out of two sides of a wall impaling them (grusome I know, but AWESOME!) or there's the rope trap where you set it up, and if and enemy player walks over it, it ropes them up, leaving them hanging in the air, leaving them vulnerable to be killed. They can of course shoot themselves out of the trap however by shooting the rope. So, it's not too bad. You can also rank up I think to 60 levels. Unlocking weapons, perks, attachments, the typical online ranking system. It's really fun though!
Overall, I highly reccomend a rent and deffinitely a buy for sure. I bought it on day one of release and haven't regreted it yet. It's an amazing game overall. Deffinitely one of the best so far this year. Maybe a contender for Game of the Year??
Could there be a more perfect game to make so epic than Tomb Raider?! Answer is no and this latest reboot of the franchise is the perfect way to do it. Lara Croft has been an iconic in the gaming world for years and now giving her well executed origins story is great.
This Tomb Raider reboot could by far be the game of the year despite how early it is. There is virtually nothing negative to say about this game because every aspect of it great. Gameplay and graphics are beyond epic with a little uncharted feel to it. Is it just me or does it feel like Lara Croft is a female version of Nathan Drake especially in the installment.
Best part of this game is the story and seeing a young/vulnerable Lara before she became the hardened Tomb Raider that we know her. It is great to see her develop both psychically and mentally as person.
Overall this game is a definate buy and something to be in your collection. Great work to Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix.
