I will start off by saying that Splinter Cell: Double Agent is a very cool game. There are moments, when properly executed, that make you feel like a complete bad@$$. The mission design is suberb. The story is also quite splendid, despite the simplicity. But often during the game I found myself infuriated at the wonky stick funtionality. Also, even a moderately skilled player like myself will become frustrated at the difficulty. But, overall, master the controls and adopt a trial-and-error playing style (which is made very easy with the save system) and this game can be loved.
I enjoyed this game as I did all of the Splinter Cell games. They are amazing. This may be the worst Splinter Cell game ever released, but its still better than any other stealth/action game I've ever played. Nothing probably will ever compare to Splinter Cell in terms of pure stealth, I'm just looking forward for this series to return to the days of Chaos Theory and continue putting out titles every couple years forever, because I will never get tired of them.

I rented this game from GF as my first rental and I was disappointed. After play SC Conviction, Double Agent was definitely a step in the wrong direction. Controls were not fluid and character was to slow. Perhaps it would have been better had I not played Conviction first.
