When a storied and successful franchise such as splinter cell does anything it turns a few more heads rather than just those of its enduring fans. Unfortunately for those of us who enjoyed the previous splinter cell's for what it was (a tactical and stealth shooter) we are now seeing one of our favorite past times go mainstream. In order to appeal to the masses the game designers accomplished just what those who designed titles such as Black Ops 2 have. The ability to sell out and dumb down in order to gather a new and larger flock of unbridled money spenders. With the disappearance of spy v. mercenary and the addition of "execution mode" plus a Hollywood feeling approach to gameplay, long time gamers can say their goodbyes to the once strategic, thought provoking, and cherished version of one of the better video game series of our time. If you are new to the franchise and you enjoy mindless, simple, charge through he middle gameplay such as Call of Duty over and over then might i say congrats. Your money has purchased a new classic. It's all yours because anyone who enjoyed thinking and exercising patience in order to get the accomplished feeling of reaching end of the game in stealthy fashion most certainly will not take part in this atrocity. Thanks a lot ubisoft...
