if you enjoy strategy games particularity the military style ones, then you are in for a really large treat. no base building, no resource gathering, you get command points for securing critical areas of the map buildings known as unlinks, an you receive a few over the progression of time, with these command points that you earn based on your command ability you may spend them on more units to be delivered to your command, or you may choose to use off map support ie air strike, or emp on enemy vehicular\ , or even force recon, which is an unmanned scout unit, latter it can be upgraded in your barracks to become an attack unit.
the barracks--here is the kicker for any units surviving a battle they earn exp, an with enough exp they rank up, when they rank up, you ma purchase new abilities ie better firepower, better armor, better speed, the list goes on for what area of each unit type you can upgrade. tho if you have a 3 stripe unit that has the ability to use a purchased upgrade, its awesome--if that unit get killed on the battlefield then then you do not loose the purchased upgrade tho that unit will become a recruit an will not be ably to use any purchased abilities like better weapons until they rank up again.
