The graphics look like it was an N64 game they quickly decided to update to the PS2. The textures are very bad. Some of the music is good and some is mediocre. Also, 1-player mode has a total of 9 levels! I was also dissappointed with simplistic mission objective which is always one, "grab the goal item" and two, "bring it to the checkpoint". Done.
The game is still fun to play. You really have to keep on your toes and be careful how you approach areas. The level designs are interesting too. The multi-player mode has more levels, and there's a (simple) map maker.
Overall, a fun game, but you can't help feeling it's incomplete.

Given the option of a "Story Mode," it's safe to say that I expected some kind of story. No. None. Not even the barest whisper of a story. In hindsight, that's probably for the best. The story would have ended up being too disjointed and erratic to be believable.
Playablility was okay... once you got past the horrendously long load time. Some of the harder levels, at the harder difficulty, were reasonably challenging, if one defines challenging as very little in the way of ammo, health, and weapons, and an over-abundance of computer-generated enemies that can seemingly fire around corners.
Considering the release date, the graphics were okay, if a little too angular. But, why go to all the trouble of creating an image of a character that you only see in the menu, or in glimpses during multi-player? It just re-inforces the idea that this is nothing more than an arena-based, multi-player FPS. There are much better examples of this type game out there from around the same release date. Try MechWarrior instead.
Good for shooter fans

This title is more for the classic shooter fans like Doom or Wolfenstein where all you really need to worry about in the game is whether someone is going to shoot your balls off.
No story or motivation to speak of but if you're not into that kind of thing then I reccommend Time Splitters. For those looking for a little more to chew on you might want to look at some of the more recent titles.
