Great golf game. The new dynamic rating system is much better than past years, as now you can get better (or worse) as time goes on. the on-line improvements are fantastic as well. EA hit this one out of the park.
There are several things new to this edition that I find make the game more fun and enjoyable.
1) GamerNet challenges are incorporated into offline play like Tiger Challenge in career mode.
2) The simultaneous online play was much needed and is making me consider purchasing this even though I own the 08' version. This feature is critical for online play for me because it used to take way too long to get through a round (especially with 3 other people).
3) The skill improvements are partly based on your actual performance, instead of choosing how to use your earned performance like in prior years. For example, if you keep driving the ball further, your distance skill will improve. You can also do drills to increase certain attributes.
Side notes and Conclusion:
The graphics are about the same, maybe slightly improved. This is my favorite Tiger game yet, but for whatever reason I'm even having trouble spending GameFly's $39.99 used price for this. Pretty much same old Tiger, just a different year. Maybe I'm just getting bored with Tiger after playing it for about 8 years. I still gave it a high rating based solely on this year's game as if I had never played another Tiger game.
