The World Ends With You for Nintendo DS Reviews by Gamers

I don't know where to start. From amazing graphics to entangling plot, this game has it all. I fell in love with the characters and game style instantly, even if the main charecter did scare me a bit because he was very emo at first. This hip J-Pop game kept me going, and it never got boring. If you like Kingdom Hearts, J-Pop, or are a teen or up and looking for a DS game that isn't made for 3 and up, this is the game for you. Now if only they could make a game like this for the wii...

Oh, and the only, ONLY thing I have to complain about this game: some of the slider pins are a bit hard to use, and at first the touch screen controls are a little hard. However, very small flaws in the game that can easily get put aside.

This game deserved a ten, and even had me tempted to keep it. Bravo, Square Enix, I hope we see a sequel soon.

This game is easily a 9, but coupled with the fact that it is one of the most unique and refreshing games I've played in a long while, I'm giving it a 10.

The first thing that pops out is the colorful and fabulously stylized graphics. Taking place in our world in the downtown area of Tokyo puts it "worlds" apart from the usual rpg mix. The game has a fun and engaging anime look and uses a variety of comic book/anime presentation styles to help tell it's story.

Gameplay is probably this game's shiniest quality. Utilizing both screens and forcing you to pay attention and play on both screens at the same time can be a bit overwhelming, but once you get the hang of it, you realize that it is immensely fun and entertaining. Team Jupiter (best know for Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories) has written their own rules on how an rpg can be played and still be super fun!

Sound is superb, with strong dialog and a juicy catalog music ranging from jpop to rock and hip hop. This game just sounds awesome.

Overall, you can't go wrong with TWEWY. Rent it if you must, but buy it..as it is a worth addition to your collection. It packs a large and entertaining story filled with great characters and action. Finally someone has had the guts to break the mold and make an rpg that is really, truly different! My hat is tipped to Jupiter and Square Enix. Thank you!!
