My wife and I recently discovered The Walking Dead T.V. series and became hooked! Though the game is based on the comic book series (which I'm going to be collecting soon) it captured all the elements that make The Walking Dead amazing. After the somewhat sluggish start (I wasn't a big fan of episode one) the game takes off and keeps you hanging on for dear life! It is full of epic plot twists and tense moments as well as laugh out load tension breakers and a tear jerker or two. If your tired of the same old zombie games do yourself a favor and experience this one. The game's wonderful characters and their development will get you emotionally invested while it takes you for a ride full of twists and turns and some seriously shocking moments. Before this I never once paused a game and said "Wow...I can't believe that just happened!" as well as finding myself laying in bed contemplating if I made the right decision rather then sleeping. I have never written a review before but this game compelled me to do so...that has to mean something!

I couldnt wait for gamefly to ship me this game so i went out and rented it. I was aware that this is more of a story telling game than any real action. I wanted to give it a shot any way. once i started the game, i began to notice a major issue with the game play. once you make a decision, the game has a 1 second pause everytime. so when you choose to say this or that, there seems to be a pause to let the game catch up with the decision. i didnt think this would be an issue. but once in the house in the first 10 minutes, when the zombie attacks in the kitchen, making decisions and that pause in the game got me killed multiple times. I ended up giving up and turning the game off because if the game was like that early on, then it could only get worse as the game went on. I would recommend this game if it were not for those pauses. they get frusterating, and make the game play very slow.
