Stays true to the franchise...

Pros: I have played all of the previous Sims series on my PC. This version is a great representation of the franchise in a console format: nicely updated graphics, fun new things to do (fishing up a perfect goldfish and then putting him into a fishbowl in your house for example) and a much smaller need to spend 90% of your time trying to keep up with 20 friends all made for a better playing experience. You can chat with people online at all hours of the night and your Sim carries a cellphone, eliminating the need to roam across your house to make calls (just be sure to silence it before you go to bed!). Plenty of ways to make money besides work - I found myself fishing and playing guitar for tips in the park and making as much/more money than a day at the office which was cool. Same old Sims with some nice new perks and features.
Cons: The controls are a bit clunkier than what I am used to with a mouse; would be nice to see them incorporate the Move into this as a pointer device alongside the buttons controls. I am also much more accustomed to being able to customize my whole neighborhood - you can't really just build a house from scratch and take control of random families as well, so there are aspects of this version of the Sims that are much more limiting than previous franchise entries.
Summary: Great game, great fun to play - but if I buy it it will likely be for the PC!
