I bought the game first and my Wife loves it. I played it for 3 hours and was bored out of my mind. Like I said if your a true fan its a great game with decent graphics much too offer. If not a fan or not sure then I would strongly suggest to rent.
Sins 3 was the best sims game I have played by far, and I have played alot of them! Anywho you can d o almost anything on that game! But if your like me you will get bored with it and send it back within the first month! Overall i give it a 3.8 out of 5 Pontius Pilates Xbox360 Gamertag
The Sims 3 for the console finally gives the feel of the PC version that made the franchise a success in the first place. The open exploration is given to you from the get go and the game has abandoned the story mode it once had on the earlier console versions which did not allow you to explore the game freely.
The good: graphics, sound, user friendly controls, the challenges.
The bad: there are still items to be unlocked via challenges.
The reason I put the challenges in the good column is that it helps you to explore all the things the game has to offer.
The only aspect of the game I did not explore was the Exchange due to not having a serial number to enter in the code section for access to the exchange since this was a rented copy of the game, but I will absolutely place The Sims 3 in my "worth buying" list.
