I enjoyed this game for quite a while before it was returned, mainly for the joy of multiplayer with my friend.
I've liked The Sims for years, going way back to when I was eight or nine years old (5, 6 years ago) playing it on the computer, making my little house and cheating like heck to get money (hey, I was stupid that way). The whole idea of trying to make this poor little Sim happy was more than just that. It was in-depth. I mean, it's quite a bit more resembling of our world than one might think. Thinking is what this game makes you do. Strategizing how you can best use your time, to make sure your Mood is high enough to get that promotion, always remembering to do the quick things before the long (bathroom before bed), it's really amazing, for what it is.
The one thing that bugged the heck out of me, though, was in multiplayer, whenever a message at the top of the screen popped up ("The carpool for XXXXX will arrive in an hour." et cetera) it blocked the time; probably the most important essence of the game, and you couldn't make the messages go away faster than they did. If you can deal with that, I'm sure you'll enjoy this game for at least a week.
Oh, for those of us with an 8 MB memory card, watch out, this thing takes up a whopping (no sarcasm intended) 161 blocks. Quite reminiscent of the old one...
